Today I'm installing a new axle and CV joint on the driver and passenger side of my 2007 Honda Fit Sport 5-speed. The original axles had 170,000 miles and were starting to make a clicking sound upon acceleration, which is a sign of a work out CV joint. Rather than disassemble and replace just the CV joint, it's much faster and easier just to replace the entire axle. My Honda Fit is pretty rusty, so hopefully your axle replacement is easier!
