A few weeks ago, I made a vase with combination of resin colors that I thought looked a bit like the Milky Way Galaxy. A subscriber told me his wife loved it, and wanted to have a special anniversary gift made for her with the same colors. I had a nice cutoff from a maple burl sitting around, so I cast it in some epoxy resin and woodturned this cool little jewelry box.

I haven't done a lidded box project in a long time, but luckily I'm not a full on beginner woodturner anymore, so this one went smoothly!
