We visited Jitwarpur and Ranti village to explore the world famous Madhubani paintings. We also met Padma Shri awardees National & state awardees during the tour of Madhubani, Bihar.

There after we proceeded to visit Rajnagar fort, Naulakha palace and then went to visit Ugna Mahadev Temple.

Following are the details of the journey done on this day- 22nd feb - Video shoot date.

Dulari Devi Ji House - We started our day in the morning from the Ranti village of Madhubani here we came to meet the Padam Shri Awardee Mrs Dulari Devi Ji at her home.

We had breakfast at the Dulari Devi Ji home in the morning.She offered us - Dahi Chura with vegetables, which was an enjoyable taste and i learnt that this is a famous breakfast of Mithila region.

After breakfast, we saw the different style paintings collection of Mrs Dulari Devi Ji and she explained to us about the paintings and their prices.

Rekha Devi Ji House - After this, we met one more Artisian of Ranti Village Mrs Rekha Devi Ji & she showed us the Madhubani art on the Saree, Suit and Hadicrafts.
I purchased a align bag with Madhubani painting on top of it.

Mahasundari Devi Ji House - After this, we visited the house of the great Artist of Madhubani Late. Mrs Mahasundari Devi Ji & met there her daughter-in-law who is also a National award winner artist Mrs Bibha Das Ji.

Ms Bibha Das ji showed us paintings made using natural colours, it was a delight to meet her and others in the village and learn about Madhubani art.

Rajnagar Palace - After this we traveled around 15 km and reached Rajnagar, Bihar. Here we met with Shambhavi who guided us to explore this Palace.

Rajnagar Palace is also known as Navlakha Palace & it was built by Rameshwar Singh between 1884 to 1929. This complex covers 1500 acres & it includes 11 temples and different forts.

Lunch near Rajnagar Palace - We had our lunch at the Cafe near the Palace - Street and Straw. We had Noodles, Fried Rice & Manchurian in the lunch.

Indira Devi Ji House - After this, we traveled around 2 km and reached one more Artisan of Madhubani Mrs Indira Devi Ji and here we explored the Madhubani Art on Paper, Saree etc & shared the price in the video.

Ugna Mahadev Temple - After this on the way to Madhubani we visited the Ugna Mahadev Temple, & did the darshan of Lord Shiva.

This is the place where Lord Shiva accompanied "Kavi Vidyapati " as his servant "Ugna" and offered Gangajal to him, the period was 1352-1448.

Hotel in Madhubani - After this we reached our Hotel in Madhubani - Jalsha, Earlier i stayed at Deep Jyoti hotel, that was also good but this Jalsha hotel i found to be little better.
