If you’re new here, welcome! My name is Krysta and I’m a Canadian thru hiker. I have completed 2 thru hikes, the 950 km Great Divide Trail in Canada and the 2,200 km Croatian Long Distance Trail in Croatia. So, I’ve thru hiked a total of 3,150 km in the last 3 years.

As a new thru hiker, I made quite a few mistakes, but these are my top 6. I will (hopefully) never be making these mistakes again and I hope I can help you avoid making the same ones.

Also, how beautiful is Meteora?? It is a tourist destination in Greece, but honestly, well worth a visit!
