Yes it's worth the money!
Although it's usually recommended NOT to run this on carpet with 17.5T motors, everyone at our local club does. I've been running it in my 17.5T buggy weighing in at 1470g on Fuzz Bite rear tires on Black CRC carpet (no sauce).
