Here I discuss the important notion that ADHD is not a disorder of knowledge and knowing what to do, but one of performance and doing what you know, when and where it would be effective to do so. That when and where I call the “point of performance.” This video reviews why this problem arises in ADHD, what it means for understanding ADHD, and its implications for trying to manage the performance problems posed by ADHD.
