This is the all new Chevy Blazer EV. This is the first electric Blazer ever. It is also the fastest mid-size Chevy SUV with the RS and SS trims, and the first Chevy SS model to be electrified. There has been a little review of that in the Vancouver Auto Show 2024 overview on this channel, but now is the full in-depth look of this car.

So, let’s start with the power figures. The LT and RS trims will get 288 hp and 333 lb-ft of torque, with the RS having sportier looks than the LT. The RS RWD model will give you less power from a single electric motor. The highest and sportiest SS model will give you 557 hp and 648 lb-ft of torque, putting that model just below the BMW iX M60 in terms of power and pricing. All models come with dual electric motors, making them AWD.

Now, let’s talk briefly about the exterior design, especially for each trim model. In the LT model, you get basic looks from every Chevy car with their lower trims, and you do not get the headlights that extend to the Chevy logo like you do in the RS and SS models. The SS model appeared to even have a light up Chevy logo, but we do not know if that is going to be in the real production model of the SS, as there isn’t a light up Chevy logo in the RS and LT. Anyways, the RS and SS models will come with a blacked out bottom grill on the front.

Now let’s talk briefly about the interior. All models will come with the same screen setup as in the Equinox EV, Silverado EV, and other new Chevy models such as the new 2024 Traverse. But unlike those models I just mentioned, the Blazer EV gets circular air vents on the bottom of the screen rather than the rectangular air vents you get in the other new Chevy products, including the Equinox EV and Silverado EV.

Now, we will talk about pricing. The base LT model starts at $60,333 CAD ($44,090 USD), and the RS starts at exactly $7,000 CAD more (with AWD model). The SS model’s pricing is known at this time, but we can expect that to start at around at least $80,000 CAD (over $55,000 USD). The LT and RS trims have arrived in Fall of 2023, while the SS model has unexpectedly not arrived to North America yet (we can expect that to come by the end of the first half of 2024).
