Joe C running his rebuilt steam locomotive New Haven # 711 at Waushakum Live Steamers. The locomotive sat for over 20 years in a garage with a leaky roof. The smoke box and tender were in terrible shape. The tender was saved but the smoke box need to be replaced. The boiler was also in need to total rebuild. It took Joe over 40 hours to remove the old flues. Don R who is an expert with copper, silver soldered all of the new flues back. This locomotive was built by Norm Steel about 60 years ago + or- The cylinders and other parts are from an old locomobile. This locomotive is also the first engine to ever run on the ground at Pioneer Valley Railroad in Southwick MA
