The electrical issue last night turned out not to be my adapter as initially suspected and Cosmin (our host) helped us resolve it very quickly.

I have been looking forward (for a very long time) to riding theTransfăgărășan (the road that Top Gear dubbed "the best road in the world"), but until last week we weren't sure it was going to be open in time. It was amazing and the natives (wild bears) didn't seem to resent our visit!
