Recent news story of generosity around the Holiday season that warms hearts.

Only problem: how is this not rewarding an illegal alien for violating U.S. immigration law? While the doctor's generosity is admirable, is he also going to pay costs incurred on social services?

Because while $25k seems generous, it's a drop in the bucket compared to the life-time costs borne by social services.....

I know, these are tough questions to ask (AND answer) in light of the ongoing health-care reform debate. But if we can't answer them now, then we as a country are collectively doomed. Americans will HAVE to make tough decisions, for we cannot continue to think "someone else" will pay for the bill: the "let's have our cake and eat it, too!" mindset is what got our country into the current deficit situation!
