Red-tailed hawk predation attempt on a timber rattlesnake, BUT unfortunately snake is just off camera (so please don't accuse me of click baiting). However, I thought this footage was worthy of sharing since it captures a glimpse of a predator/prey relationship between timber rattlesnakes and one of its avian predators, something I have been trying to document (along with mammalian predation) over the last few years. Other clips include a sample of wildlife making appearances at this New York timber rattlesnake birthing rookery this past summer.
