Vientiane is the capital of Laos. This is a remarkable city in a beautiful country and walking through its colourful, neon streets and markets at night is a complete sense of wonder and awe. Arriving into a country you have never visited is always a fascinating and exciting feeling. Especially when you don't know what to expect.

This is the feeling I had first being greeted into Laos by its capital city Vientiane. It is a sleepy beautiful city filled with kind and welcoming people. I think it is the Buddhist culture that reveals itself in the people's hospitality and willingness to welcome and greet tourists with open minds and hearts.

I spent too small of a time in this country but instantly fell in love with Laos. This is my love letter to Laos, out of respect for the generosity and grit of its people and country.
