Digging A Massive Hole With Ventrac Bucket

We gave our intern one last job for the summer, and it's a big one!
Gabe's only job was to dig as deep and as fast as he could with nothing but the Ventrac and Power Bucket as tools. In this designated 20x20 foot test area, he started at 8 am and worked for approximately 5 hours digging with the Power Bucket to a depth of 8 feet!

Aaron reviews the tractor and accessory set-up that made this job a success. Gabe used a 4520P with a few different accessories that helped make the tractor more efficient at digging. The mid-mount weight kit is installed on the tractor, and on the rear 3-in-1 we loaded six additional weights. This added weight helps give the tractor wheels more traction while digging. Another important note is that we have weight transfer completely engaged on this tractor which adds additional lifting force out of the ground.

In this fun video, the capability and versatility of the Power Bucket shines through, and although most of our operators don't have a need for an 8-foot deep hole, we enjoyed showing you that it is possible. And while the tractor is capable, and the video showcases that, we realize there is other equipment that can be more efficient. Therefore, we recommend this application for digging small holes where needed when using your Ventrac for other jobs.
