James are a Manchester UK band formed in 1982, but with a few changes in line up only really became James when Tim Booth joined. Lead singer Tim Booth, joined initially in late 1982 as a dancer and then became the lead singer. As a somewhat strange aside he also portrayed Victor Zsasz in the 2005 film Batman Begins

Probably most known for their classic song ‘Sit Down’ this song Sound is from their 4th album, Seven, which was released in the UK in 1992. As part of what was known as the ‘Madchester’ scene, James established themselves as a must see live band. With various break-ups and changes of personnel they did reform around 2007, and they continue to tour even now.

This extended live version gives us a driving drum and bass rhythm, layers of percussion and acoustic guitars, sections with real building of the instruments, and with Tim Booth’s amazing voice and his use of a megaphone (as it to emphasise that he wants his message to be heard)
