A Woodturning tool review. This video shows a project in action but discusses the different tools used more in depth. I show a brand new wood turning finish on the market, a look at how the total boat slow cure resin preformed, and a look at some new wood turning hollowing tools. This is my attempt to help new woodturners that are just getting into wood turning or resin turning. Wood turning and epoxy resin turning offer quite a few different challenges from one another. For instance negative rake carbide cutters are talked about in depth during the resin and wood turning project. Where the bowl gouge is king at hollowing wood bowls being turned, in my opinion the easy wood negative rake carbide cutters are the way to go for hollowing resin and wood bowls or hollow forms. They are easy to use and that makes them perfect for beginner woodturners or beginner resin turners alike. I will link all of the woodturning or resin turning tools I used to make this wood and resin bowl. Keep in mind these are the tools I use for turning bowls and especially wood and resin bowls. If you are a spindle turner, you may need different tools.

Woodturning and resin turning are incredibly fun hobbies to get into. As you can see by this video you can definitely get very creative. If it is softer than metal and dry you can most likely cast it in resin and turn it on a wood lathe.
