This is a LONG video made for beginners. The objective is to take all my footage from my first time paddling a half-slice (Dagger Rewind, LG) on the US National Whitewater Center Wilderness Channel, and demonstrate as much as I can about each rapid/feature. Viewers will get a sense of where each feature is, and see a few different ways to tackle them.

This video is a MONSTER, and I've divided it into sections. I don't expect folks to watch it all in one sitting. Jump around, I've broken it into chapters!

The USNWC is in Charlotte, NC. It's worth driving down and spending a few days- bring your own whitewater kayak and gear, as they don't typically rent whitewater boats to visitors who don't already have their own.

As always, paddle safely.
