The shooting season is nearly over and today was the Beaters Day on my local shoot. I have been working Ted and Percy all season in the beating line and today I had the opportunity to be a walking Gun. It was a very poignant day as it was exactly a year ago that Ted fell ill and we nearly lost him, but today is is back to full health and I made some more memories with him in the field. Percy has really come of age this season and he showed that not only can be “bash the bramble” but he has some fine retrieving skills as well. Oh…and finally I got my mo jo back and shot as well as I ever had ….still missed a few but thats the reality of game shooting.
