Al-Asr (Arabic: العصر, The Declining Day) is the 103rd chapter (sūrah) of the Qur’ān, the Muslim holy book. It contains three āyāt or verses. Surat al-‘Asr is the third shortest chapter after Al-Kawthar and Al-Nasr, being shorter than Al-Nasr by only two words in the 3rd verse.

۝ By the afternoon;
۝ verily mankind is in loss,
۝ except those who believe, and do that which is right; and who mutually recommend the truth, and mutually recommend perseverance unto each other.
সূরা আল আসর পবিত্র কুরানের ১০৩ তম সূরা। সুরাটির আয়াত সংখ্যা ৩। সূরাটি মক্কায় অবতীর্ণ হয় তাই এটি মাক্কী সূরার অন্তর্ভুক্ত। যদিও সূরা আছর ছোট একটি সূরা কিন্তু মুসলমানদের জন্য সূরাটি খুবই তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ। এই সুরাটিতে মহান আল্লাহ্‌ সময়ের কসম করে বলেছেন, মানুষ ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত এবং তারা ব্যতীত যারা আল্লাহ্‌র উপর বিশ্বাস রাখে, সৎকর্ম করে, মানুষদের সত্যের উপদেশ দেয় এবং ধর্য্য রাখার উপদেশ দেয়।
