7 de Agosto Neighborhood:
The streets of the 7 de Agosto neighborhood have never been unoccupied despite the quarantine. For months, when the mayor Claudia López decreed the pedagogical isolation, the merchants of the market and the neighboring sex workers did not lock themselves up. The needs were pressing. In the square, with the accompaniment of the Institute of Social Economy, they began to deliver fruits, vegetables, and meats to nearby houses. On the other hand, street girls remained active behind bars and fleeing from police persecution. Since the president decreed intelligent isolation, the 7 de Agosto neighborhood began to break the quarantine with the opening of bicycle shops and workshops, as well as the sale of auto parts. Nearly 1,500 stores dedicated to automobiles are located in this neighborhood in the north of Bogotá. Now the streets of 7 de Agosto are full of welders, fruit carts and night workers trying to make a peso amid the economic collapse of the quarantine.

Tolerance Zone:
Between the 1970s and 1980s, motels were consolidated in the Santafe neighborhood, especially in the sector between transversal 17 and Caracas avenue, up to 22nd street. Since 2002, during the mayoralty of Antanas Mockus, it is a Special Zone of High Impact Services for the exercise of prostitution.

By 2009 there was a record of 130 establishments and nearly 3,500 people practicing the ancient profession.
