In early September 2023, I hiked along the UK's most iconic long distance trail. The West Highland Way covers 96 miles from Milngavie (near Glasgow) to Fort William, in the Scottish Highlands. My trip included a side trail to the summit of Ben Lomond, giving a total of 105.5 miles, over 8 days. I did this trip solo, carrying all my gear, and camping each night.

From Glasgow, I took the train to Milngavie, to the start of the trail. After I completed the trail, I stayed a night at Glen Nevis Caravan & Camping Park, before getting the train from Fort William back to Glasgow.
