It was what happened on New Year's eve last year. There was something going on before uploading the last video.
I saw Boss-kichi slapping his own tail a lot these days and I thought it could be some sort of a sign, so I checked his skin in the fur and found that a part turned black.
I was very sorry that I couldn't notice Boss-kichi was hitting his own tail because it was itchy. So I straight went to a clinic with Boss-kichi on New Year's eve. And what I learned from the doctor was that cats' tails have glands that produce oil.

If you see beneath the chin and around the mouth you can see those right away. So I always cleaned them up with a little towel, but I never knew their tails would produce oil, too. (*_*)

Boss-kichi's sebaceous glands on the tail were not in good condition, so they were blocked but the doctor said there's do dermatitis so it wouldn't tingle much..
The lower part of the tail wasn't dirty at all, so there was no relation between sebum and Boss chasing after his tail. Boss-kichi just wanted to have fun with it. ε= (*^o^*) Phew!

If you guys already know about this, this video might annoy you, too. But I asked a cat owner who has been raising a cat for a long time and she also said she didn't know. So I thought there might be so many people not knowing about this and that's why I made this video.
If it's your first time knowing about this, please check your cats' tails.
The part is the upper part of the tail, and starting from the top of the tail, it's about 10~20cm long.
I wiped it up with an antiseptic solution but there's also other types to use on the tails, according to the doctor.
Neko-kichi's tail was alright, tough. I think it varies from cats to cats.
I heard that if you don't wipe the too oily tail, it would lead to an infection, so I'll check my cats' tails regularly, and when they're dirty again, I'm gonna clean them up.
