Hey thanks for visiting my DIY channel! In this video, I show you how I used Chalk Paint to "stain" oak wood and I used to Chalk Paint's undertones to help eliminate the yellow & orange tones. This can also be a similar look to bleaching but without the bleach chemical and smells.

Reason I reach for Chalk Paint instead of regular wood stains on the market:
1. I can control the effects of the finished look with the paint undertones better than with some of the stains. Sometimes you have to use 2-3 stains to get the look you want, with this paint you can do it in one easy step.
2. Because it's Chalk Paint- I have it already on hand for refinishing furniture so I don't need to go buy another product just for this purpose. That's a win win!
3. Less smelly, toxic and messy! That's the main reason, I work around my kids and Chalk Paint by Annie Sloan is eco & kid friendly.
4. Easy application and easy clean up.
5. A little bit goes a looong way! So when I'm done with the water/paint wash I will just dump it back into the can for the next time I need to use the paint again. It's a water based paint so no need to discard your wash!
