This method of matting a paper object is useful where the whole area of the note or bill needs to be visible after it has been framed.

The use of optically clear polyester film as a carrier means the object is held in a very safe manner whilst on display.

As mentioned in the video, framing and displaying a banknote is a questionable method of display as exposure to light in the long term may fade the banknote and reduce its value. Such fading can be mitigated to some level by the use of UV protective glass but if the banknote is of any value the only way to preserve it is to store in a light free environment.
