Dr. Shankar Sharan goes into the history of Hinduism and Buddhism and their mutual relations. He starts about saying that Buddha had always remained a Hindu all his life, that he was born in a Hindu clan, that his entire life entailed with the Hindu view of life. He never revolted from any ‘Hindu’ or ‘Vedic’ or ‘Brahmanical’ religion that is often touted to be. The modern Marxist interpretation has led people to believe that not only Buddhism is different from Hinduism but actually it came in opposition to Hinduism and Hindu orthodoxy. In this Indic Talk, Dr. Shankar Sharan refutes this false Marxist claim.
