On our last day in Alaska, we woke up to snow covered town of Denali. The snow did not stick to the ground so our drive back to Anchorage wasn’t bad at all.

Before we headed to the airport, we thought of visiting the town of Whittier, for its famous residence tower, where the entire population of the town lives in that single building. The building also has a grocery store and a school within its premises. We were very intrigued to visit the town and see it for ourselves. This town has the best views of with water on one side and the mountains on the other. A lot of cruise ships and other excursions also depart from the port of Whittier. We saw some restaurants and cafés and two ice cream shops in this little town. The toll to visit the town is $13 and it comes with a map which has the schedule of the one way traffic. A lot of people traveling to Alaska, take cruises from Seward and this town is on the way to Seward from Anchorage; about 59 miles south of Anchorage. We highly recommend visiting the town of Whittier.
