Water is the essence of our planet and key to the existence of all life. Every one of us has a responsibility to protect, restore and provide access to water for the sake of humankind, the natural world, and the global economy. Critical to that is infrastructure. More than $1 trillion needs to be spent each year between now and 2030 to put effective water systems in place globally. Investors could help siphon a lot of that capital to where it’s most needed. But philanthropists also could play a key role. Christoph Courth, Global Head of Philanthropy at Pictet Wealth Management, explains how.
