The Meta Era of Sonic begins in style with Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1, a retro Sonic throwback meant to cash in on the retro gaming nostalgia of the late 2000s as well as the rising mobile game market. I am not even trying to hide it, this game is one I have basically no respect for. One of my least favorite Sonic games to ever exist, and I am here to say why.
