All parts for the repair of a lathe can be bought - it's only a matter of cost and time. But everything changes when the machine is for hobby and interest, then you involuntarily have to ask yourself: why did I buy it if it cannot carve a part for itself?

When you start restoring a machine, you constantly lack the exact same machine ... For this reason, the TV box remains in the garage and there are no plans to get rid of it.

I decided to make a clutch immediately after buying IZH. The most difficult thing in it is the internal teeth. To implement the plan, a whole series of experiments and upgrades had to be carried out. Therefore, at first I tried the chiselling process on a lathe (   • Самодельное долбежное приспособление ...  ), which is actively praised by bloggers, but in reality it turned out to be, to put it mildly, "so-so" and is suitable for inaccurate chiselling of a veneer groove on some large machine, not on a schoolboy. For more serious tasks, I had to consider NHF 110, but in fact he is also a schoolboy. In the end, I decided to create a full-fledged slotting head for NHF 110 (   • Самодельная долбежная головка для фре...  ). In the current state of the machine, the table with such loads does not work well, but there was already no choice, you need to make a part and assemble the machine. In fairness, it should be noted that a small longitudinal feed from a 1A616 lathe, in this head, with large removal modes, bends. Moreover, not by 1-2 tens, but by millimeters. So I'll eat 5-10 acres is already a reasonable limit.
