This is a sighting of a vulture at an animal, probably a kudu cow. The animals that took her down were no where to be seen and as we arrived a hyena took his piece of meat and departed. The footage was taken from a kill that we found when staying at Letaba, in the Kruger National Park. The visit was part of our "Big 5-Ohh" trip which saw us visit Olifants Rest Camp and Balule Satellite Camp. The hooded vulture (Necrosytes monachus) is listed as critically endangered and the threats to their existence are poisoning, loss of habitat, hunting and collisions with electrical infrastructure.
