On April 8, 2024, the Broken Bow area in southeastern Oklahoma will be one of the best places to see the next total solar eclipse in the United States. For millennia, many cultures have passed down their origin stories about the phenomena. But here in McCurtain County, Oklahoma, the Choctaw story rules all. In this episode, Dawn Standridge of Wheelock Academy tells the story of Funi Lusa, a hungry black squirrel who decides to eat the sun.
