During this brief video, attorney Susan Barrett explains how parents who are at risk of being separated from their children may use a Guardianship to be prepared and ensure the safety of their children. Ms. Barrett discusses who parents can consider asking to be a guardian and some things that should be discussed with the potential guardian(s) and your children in advance. Susan also provides instruction to complete the Nomination of Guardian Form, Form GC-211, in addition to explaining the multiple ways the form may be used.
