When a battery terminal clamp corrodes and fails, splicing in a new clamp and cable assembly is a good and inexpensive solution. These come in many configurations to fit most applications. Shown is a Chevrolet Impala and the installation of a three cable splice assembly from O’Reilly. The assembly used is also sold as the Deka East Penn brand. Also shown is some battery terminal maintenance designed to prevent the corrosion that caused the problem.
