Welcome to the first episode in a series I like to call "Let's Learn LECA!"
In this episode, I battle through some extreme baby brain in an attempt to teach my lovely subscribers how to handle plant nutrients with semi-hydro plants.
You may have heard it called LECA, semi-hydro, semi-hydroponics, hydroton, clay pebbles, etc. but one thing is certain, most plants can't live on water alone.
I've decided to switch most of my plants over to this medium because it reduces the amount of pests in your home and I have an insane amount of fungus gnats that just wont go away! But it's no secret that I have no idea what I'm doing. It's all experimental at this point because there is not much information out there on how to grow houseplants in LECA. It's mostly been for outdoor plants or food gardening so my hope is to contribute to a database of knowledge for you to look to when you have questions about converting to LECA.

As always, I am open to questions here in the comments, or you can catch me on Instagram! Let me know if you'd like to see more videos like this in the future! I'm planning on sharing a video with you next on how to take care of a plant (or 5) that is struggling in LECA.

Thanks for watching! I hope you have a great rest of your week!
