We safely arrived, made it through the Gauntlet - the last room in the Nuevo Nayarit International Airport where many "Hawkers" vie for our attention, passed through the crowds of taxi offers, turned left and headed toward the end of the parking area where we traditionally are assigned a taxi to take us to the Vidanta Resort to begin our vacation.

It was about 90 degrees and humid. Not a problem if you are from Houston, but it could be uncomfortable if you are from San Francisco.

Here is where the confusion began. GAPSA or the new transportation company - TFF? GAPSA had a list of arriving passengers, Vidanta shirted workers also had a list and TFF may have had a list but we did not see it. Only on their phones.

The crowds grew. Yes this is the place to get your transportation. No, you have to go to another spot. Did you pay? If so, you go to another spot. Are you a guest?

On and on the conversation went. And as time passed, the crowds grew. This video shows the crowd that gathered after we arrived.

In the end, we get on a van with about nine others and off we go. The others in line will also happily arrive at their Vidanta destination. That said, the transition taking place within Vidanta management appears to be a bumpy one.
