There are two ``Takagiya village ruins'' in the Takagiya district of Hirose, Nishikicho, and the ``Takagiya village ruin'' in the north contained an abandoned house and a shrine with electric lights still on.

When we went further into the hinterland, we found about five Umanotani village ruins that were not on the map. There was a building that looked like an old folk house and a guesthouse called ``Bokeken no Yado,'' but it seems that this was built for the homeowner's personal hobby. Overall, it was a well-maintained village site.

The other "Takagiya village ruins" to the south had about 10 houses. It seems that it has recently become uninhabited.
