POLAND vs BRAZIL | Quarter Finals | Highlights | Men’s VNL 2024. Polish volleyball players defeated the Brazilians 3:1 (18:25, 25:23, 25:22, 25:16) in the quarterfinals of the Men's Volleyball Nations League. The White and Reds were cheered on by fans gathered in crowds at the Atlas Arena in Łódź.

The Poles finished the intercontinental round in second place, with ten wins. The Brazilian team came in seventh, with six wins.

In the direct clash, the Canarinhos triumphed, defeating the White and Reds 3:1.

Poland - Brazil 3:1 (18:25, 25:23, 25:22, 25:16)

The first set started with an even game between the two teams, which exchanged atomic strikes (7:7). Neither team was able to build a safe advantage (12:12), although the Brazilians were more likely to gather a few points in reserve. At 16:13, Lucarelli effectively defeated the Poles' block, thus consolidating the Canarinhos' lead . In the next action, Darlan successfully tried a similar move. Marcin Janusz's out serve brought the guests the twentieth point. Tomasz Fornal's effective service in the field brought good spirits to the White and Reds, but Bernando Rezende's time-out quickly stabilized the Brazilians' game. The last point in this set was scored by Leal, who hooked the fingers of the blocker Jakub Kochanowski.

Nikola Grbić's players started the second set much better, which was immediately reflected in the result. Unfortunately, the middle part of the set belonged to the visitors, who played fantastic games today. The Polish volleyball players, supported by the always loyal fans, made up for the loss with great dedication, thanks to which they led to a very emotional ending. Bartłomiej Bołądź and Grzegorz Łomacz gave a good double change. At an important moment, Tomasz Fornal added a service ace to their joint achievement (23:22). The set ball was given to the Poles by a missed attack by Lucarelli, and Mateusz Bieniek took advantage of the chance to close the set, shooting the Brazilian receiver with his serve.

The third game had a difficult start, thanks to Lucarelli's great serves (1:5). From the very first actions, the Poles had to chase the result. The point for contact was scored by Marcin Janusz, who waited in the block for his opponents and single-handedly stopped the Canarinhos' attack (4:5). From that moment, the Polish volleyball players' game improved significantly - this time, Nikola Grbic's players dominated on the court, which delighted the crowd gathered in the Atlas Arena. Jakub Kochanowski scored a point to make the match 2-1 with an effective attack from the center.

The fourth set belonged to the Polish team, which this time did not allow its rivals to spread their wings. In addition, the rivals' team was making more and more mistakes. A few "points" of reserve allowed our volleyball players to play much more freely, and although there was no shortage of spectacular defenses on both sides of the net, it was the White and Reds who converted their actions into points more often. The end of this part went according to the hosts' plan, and after a long exchange, Mateusz Bieniek decided the fate of the match.

Wilfredo Leon scored the most points in the match (18).
