With out a doubt one of the most famous aircraft of all time, the Supermarine Spitfire. And what can be more fun than making a model of any variant of the mighty Spitfire. In this case the recent 1/72 scale starter set of the Airfix Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vc. Or to be more specific the Best Of British Starter Set. Which came with the Red Arrows BAE Hawk as well.

However, all of the include Humbrol paint pots in this starter set were bone dry. So instead, I used my stock pile of Vallejo Acrylic model paints as a replacement. Even with this minor setback, I was still able to make a nice model out of the kit.
