Potential clients are flaky. You write them a message, they don't get back to you. But in freelance, getting responses = $$$. So here's 10 Upwork cover letter calls to action - put these at the end of your proposal. They've worked pretty well for me in getting clients to respond, send me a message or get on a meeting together (which is how I earned over $1,000,000 so there's that).
