Discover Varronia curassavica Jacq, popularly known as Erva Baleeira, it grows spontaneously on the coast of Brazil, from Ceará to Rio Grande do Sul. It is a shrub characterized by dropping several branches, measuring 1.5 to 2. 5m tall, the more sun it gets, the smaller it becomes in height and also in the size of the leaves, which are slightly cracked/rough, and floral stems 10-15 cm long, with small white flowers that then give way to small fruits round, initially green, but turning red as they ripen.

Erva Baleeira has been used in popular medicine for a long time as an anti-inflammatory in the treatment of arthritis and rheumatism, and currently this popular knowledge has already been validated by science, so much so that today we already have acheflan available in pharmacies, formulated from the essential oil. from the plant it is the first topical anti-inflammatory made from a Brazilian plant.

In this video we will see how we can use Erva Baleeira, whose properties have analgesic, anti-inflammatory and healing activity, a protective effect against gastric ulcers and other stomach discomforts, in addition to anti-allergenic effects, reducing in vitro the secretion of histamine in guinea pigs. And, very importantly, all of this in a plant that has low toxicity.

We present the tea recipe, as well as showing the preparation of the tincture and also an ointment with Erva Baleeira, saffron and rosemary for the treatment of joint pain.
