Here is a behind the scenes preview of the Jackpot Grooming Competition in Las Vegas August 2023. I assisted Erana Ferrone, my good friend and talented groomer. She has a shop in New Zealand and took a flight to Vegas for the Grooming expo and competition. Please go follow her new youtube page ‪@Holllywoof_Grooming‬

We woke up around 6:00 am and arrived in the bathing area by about 7:00 am. Erana competed with a Bedlington Terrier that unfortunately had skin issues and was not grown out enough. We did not place BUT we learned so much and were side by side some of the best groomers in our industry. The judges also went around and gave critiques to the groomers after the competition was done which was appreciated.

Competitions are held nationwide and world wide throughout the year. In this specific competition there were 5 honorable mentions and 5 prize placements.

We learned so much about the process of a grooming competition in the United States and we plan to be back with our own dogs! I hope you enjoyed this video and as always, thank you so much for the ongoing support and love.
