Howdy! For my third chessboard I found a beautiful piece of wood burl called Pyinma (Asian Satinwood). You don't want to miss this build as this wood is spectacular! I accented the pyinma with maple and created a maple frame to hold the board and store the pieces. I accented the board with a pretty blue epoxy resin. As usual, there are a number of hints (and mistakes) to learn from. Hope you enjoy this one!
