So often we take some of the promises of God, but leave others, or else we don't take His promises to heart! May God help us all!

The Promises of God

The promises of God are true indeed
The promises of God, they work for me
So when I may think I'm all alone
Didn't Jesus say "I'll not leave you 'lone"?

E'en when great trials blow around our head
Think, it was for us that our Lord had bled!
And when we're assaulted by temptations
Won't He help; the Lord of all creation?

Sin shall not be the master over me
I'm under grace and I have been set free!
My chains have all been broken in pieces
Freedom I find though my own Lord Jesus!

Am I surrounded by all my fears?
Perhaps I pass though the valley of tears.
Lift up your eyes, looking far past the sky,
Look to Him who is greater than I!

Do you think you will never succeed?
That the oceans of His grace will recede?
Fear not oh soul, for His grace is enough!
Just let Him lead, even when it is tough

All of the promises of God are true!
Even though it's hard, they will bring us through
Oh my soul, do not doubt the love of God
There is sure enough, now let's give Him laud!
