In this video we show how to install standard sized sliding closet doors in a custom size opening. We install floor-to-ceiling mirrored sliding closet doors. The mirrored doors are 60 in. wide by 96 in. tall. The opening for the doors is 65 in. wide by 98 in. tall. We had to build in the sides, the top and the bottom to fit the closet doors in that size opening. We used 1 x 3 and 1 x 4 pre-primed pine for the trim around the closet opening in order to bring it in to 60 in. for the closet doors. We used 15 gauge nails and 2 1/2 in. deck rated screws. All supplies can be found at your local supply store.
