Work continues on our shipping container shed. The roof of this shed will be used to collect rainwater for use on our fruit and chestnut trees.

The shed roof is 35' X 12', with an area of 420 ft². With this size roof, we should be capturing over 260 gallons of rainwater for every 1" of rain. Based on last year's rainfall totals, that equates to over 10,400 gallons of fresh rainwater collected for the year.
