The Republic of Poland has been on fire since the beginning of the 17th century. This time, the Hussars were forced to intervene in large numbers on the southern border of our then state. The battles that our most famous armed formation fought have become history, but the first one near Chocim is probably not as well known to everyone as the later one. And this time I will remind you of the one from September 1621. Where the Turkish storm was preparing not only for the southern borders of the country, but even for our entire country, right up to the Baltic Sea.
As usual, I will present the geopolitical situation on the eve of the clash. You may be quite surprised how Turkey, taking advantage of the problems of the Republic of Poland in the north, unwisely entered the war and only lost in the military skirmish. The biggest winner of this battle seemed to be the Swedes, and in the long run, the Tsar of Russia, effectively weakening our potential for the future.
During the film, you will, of course, see maps, the course of the battle with the participation of the Hussars and our famous knights themselves. The First Battle of Chocim is also a tragic place due to the death of our experienced Hetman, who was already at a respectable age.
