My mother has always been wind beneath my wings. She stood by me when people were against me, kept me humble when people appreciated me, prayed for me when I fought for injustice. She inspires me to work harder, and because of that, I have achieved what seemed to be an impossible task.
I remembered Neeraj Borate @nirajvborate from MotherQuilts India @motherquilts_india whom I had met at an event. MotherQuilts India interweaves together your old clothes which holds bundle of emotional memories and converts that into a personalised quilt. So, I had a thought in my mind for my mother. I had kept my grandmother’s last quilt which she had on her when she breathed her last and a saree which I had gifted her from my first salary. I knew my mother had an emotional connection with my grandmother’s quilt. I went to MotherQuilts India with the quilt and the saree and they converted that emotion into a masterpiece of quilt. When my mother opened her gift and saw the quilt, memories run down the lane and tears rolled down her cheeks. I thank MotherQuilts India for making such a memorable gift which my mother will keep to her forever and feel her mother’s blessing always by her side.
