Our adventure kicks off with a breathtaking sunrise at Taramati Peak, offering stunning views of the Sahyadris. From there, we descend to explore Most Famus Attraction of Harishchandragad, the awe-inspiring Kokankada, known for its unique natural curvature that left us amazed.
Next, we delve into the ancient Harishchandreshwar Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and explore the surrounding caves. One highlight is the Kedareshwar Cave, which houses a unique Shivlinga and four pillars representing the four Yugas (ages): Satyayuga, Tretayuga, Dwaparyuga, and Kaliyuga. Only the Kaliyuga pillar remains standing, as the others have fallen with the passing of their respective ages.
We continue our exploration at the impressive Ganesh Cave, featuring an 8-foot tall idol of Lord Ganesh. After this spiritual journey, we take a break for lunch and begin our descent to the base village, Pachnai, arriving by 3:45 PM.
But the excitement doesn’t end there! We embark on a thrilling 180 km bike ride back to Thane. This adrenaline-pumping moment adds to the excitement of our journey. We finally reach home at midnight, full of incredible memories and newfound knowledge from this exhilarating two-day trek. Don't miss out on this adventure packed with history, nature, and thrill!
