While traveling in Japan in April 2024, I accidentally encountered cherry blossoms blooming everywhere, so I went to various scenic spots to take videos and photos of beautiful cherry.

Shiraishi River Embankment Hitome Senbon Zakura(白石川堤一目千本櫻)

Along the Shiraishi River Embankment that flows through Okawara Town, the cherry blossom trees planted stretch for nearly 8 kilometers to the neighboring Shibata Town, and are called "Hitome Senbon Zakura".

There are about 1,200 cherry blossom trees in the "Sakura Tunnel", all of which are over 90 years old. During the cherry blossom season (early to mid-April), the silvery white remaining snow on the Zao Mountains and the colorful pink cherry blossom trees are reflected on the clear Shiroishi River, creating a wonderful spring atmosphere.

This place was not only included in the "Top 100 Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots" by the Japan Cherry Blossom Association (a public interest incorporated foundation), but was also selected as one of the "Top 100 New Japanese Street Tree Views" and the "Top 100 Walking Spots" by the Yomiuri Shimbun. There are always crowds of people during the cherry blossom viewing season. In addition to the residents of the town, people from all over the country come to see the beautiful cherry blossoms.
