Whether to wash using this method or not, everyone decides for themselves, it’s your choice.
How to clean the catalyst on a car (on a cold engine). We unscrew the lambda probe and pour 1.5 liters of gasoline into the catalyst, it fills all the pores and dissolves all deposits. We install the lambda probe back, tighten the lambda probe with a key and start the car. The exhaust gas pressure will clean the catalyst, and the remaining gasoline will evaporate and fly out into the exhaust pipe, and the car will work better.
Advantages of washing the catalyst.
1. Gasoline consumption has become less.
2. Overclocking dynamics have improved.
3. The exhaust has become cleaner, and all emissions indicators are normal.
4. Technical inspection is all ok.

I shared with you how I do it on my car.
There are a lot of questions, what if the catalyst blows or breaks, I’ll answer this way.
Burnt gases enter the vehicle's exhaust system into the catalyst, and for gasoline to ignite, a working mixture of 1/15 must be prepared.
That is, 1 part gasoline and 15 parts air, only in this case can gasoline ignite.
And since there will only be exhaust gas (does not burn) and gasoline and little air, and gasoline does not burn without air, then there will be no fire.

My car is an OPEL COMBO 2008, mileage 339,000 km, the catalyst from the factory and the lambda probe are all original, nothing has been changed or cut out. I do the flushing after every oil change (on a cold engine). And after washing, exhaust inspection - everything is ok. And gas mileage is normal.
The catalyst begins to work on the car only when it warms up to operating temperature from the exhaust gases. Coming into contact with exhaust gases, noble metals regulate the chemical reactions of oxidation and reduction, reducing the toxicity of the exhaust.
