Quick Release Batten Car Instructions
1. Access the spring loaded plunger pin via the small access hole on the front of the car, or via the hole at the top end of the car.

2. Use the tip of a small screwdriver to depress the spring loaded plunger pin.

3. While the plunger pin is depressed, slide up the thimble pin and remove the screwdriver.

4. The thimble cavity is now accessible and ready for insertion of the batten receptacle link.

5. Insert the ball end of the batten receptacle link into the thimble cavity.

6. Use the screwdriver to push the thimble pin down, back to its original position.

7. The spring loaded plunger pin returns to its original position to lock the thimble pin, with the batten receptacle link now securely retained within the thimble cavity. Check by articulating the receptacle link to be sure that the thimble pin is locked to prevent it from coming out of the thimble cavity unintentionally.
